The next generation of WiFi routers, known as the G standard (802.11g), increased the wireless range to a maximum of about 150 feet, and also increased the average digital transfer speed to 54 Mps.
Now it is 2009 and the N standard (802.11n) is growing in popularity. These amazing routers can transmit digital data to a range of up to 400 feet with speeds of 248Mps. Wireless technology keeps getting better, and cheaper.
